About Megan Buer

Megan Buer is the founder of Harmony Restored, a company focused on helping individuals heal from the stress that is at the root of their physical and emotional pain. Megan is a certified Emotion Code Practitioner, author of two books on healing, a reiki healer, and mom to 3. After suffering from years with anxiety, panic disorder, chronic stress, food intolerances, adrenal fatigue, and an auto-immune disease, she went on a journey to health – spending over 10 years researching, experimenting, and finally figuring out all the unique tools she needed to naturally heal herself.

The Emotion Code Explained

Megan Buer is an emotion code practitioner. She explains that The Emotion Code gets to the true root cause of disease and health problems. Down to the emotional and energetic level.

Essentially, negative emotions and past traumas can be stored in the body as literal energetic blockages.

Megan has been trained to tap into or access a person remotely and clear these blockages.

Typically when we think of emotional healing, we think of psychoanalysis. Identifying emotions and talking through them.

There is some of that in what Megan does. She says that it’s always good to have a bit of a background in where people are coming from. Often, she will even find different emotions than the person thought they had.

Mostly though, Megan says by the time people get to her they are tired of talking about what’s wrong with them. Most of her work is in the remote clearing of blockages.

Megan equates it falling down and getting dirt in the resulting wound. You could either talk about how you fell and the dirt got in there, or you could just clean out the wound. Megan’s work favors the latter approach.

If this all sounds like too much woo-woo for you, Megan would have agreed whole-heartedly with you until it worked with her and her son when nothing else would. And now her clients tend to be those who have tried everything already before getting to her, and they too get well.

Emotions and the Sympathetic / Parasympathetic Nervous System

Megan Buer points out that the process she follows with those she works with is the exact same whether her client has cancer or a runny nose. She does see quite a bit of folks going through cancer though on that note.

If the body is harboring substantial energetic blockages this will create a huge stress on the body. This will result in the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system.

The parasympathetic nervous system is known as flight or fight mode. In our more primitive days this was reserved for very short term periods of stress. Such as a big tiger chasing us.

In this state energy and blood flow gets diverted from non-immediately essential places like the immune system, digestive or immune system. Storing these negative emotions can trick the body into thinking it’s always in rest or digest mode.

These critical organs and systems therefore do not end up ever turning on and bad things can easily happen from here.

The sympathetic system, or rest and digest mode is where we want to be. When Megan clears trapped emotions and energies, she is allowing the body to return to its healing state.

Muscle Testing

Megan Buer says that if she could take away only one thing from her fifteen year journey in the holistic health world, it would without a doubt be muscle testing.

Muscle testing is essentially asking the our body, our perhaps our subconscious, whether or not something will be good for us and actually expecting an answer.

Megan equates it to a lie detector test. If you’re hooked up to one and tell a lie, your muscles would go weak. If you tell the truth, your muscles stay strong.

Muscle testing follows the same principle. Practitioners rely on the deepest part of ourselves, call it our subconscious, heart, soul, God, etc. to let us know what is good for us.

Megan says that somewhere deep down inside of us is a part that’s whole and knows exactly what is wrong with our bodies and what is needed to fix it. She also encourages anyone on the fence about all of this to read The Emotion Code by Bradley Nelson as he does a great job of laying it all out in a very easily digestible way.

Emotional Intelligence

Aside from clearing trapped energy in others, Megan also gives them the tools to deal with much of this on their own.

Recognizing and addressing the reasons you’re feeling anxiety or depression. Catch and reverse negative self-talk, clearing negative emotions as they happen, getting the body out of flight or flight mode.

These are all skills that come with a well-developed emotional intelligence and can make all the difference in a healing journey. They are also exactly what Megan teaches others to master for themselves in her Rooted in Health 21 Day Total Transformation Program!

The Emotional and Energetic Aspect of Childhood Cancer

Don’t overlook this. You don’t know what sort of energies your child picked up during gestation and early on in life.

I believe childhood cancer is on the rise because our world is becoming more and more toxic. Both physically and energetically.

Inherently I’ve always known this was crucial to address with Ryder, but only recently have begun taking concrete steps to do so.

I came to understand the importance of getting to a good place in your emotions and energy early on in my cancer research after Ryder was diagnosed. I was always frustrated early on as everything I heard about was always in terms of talking through things, which doesn’t make a whole lot of practical sense dealing with an infant or a toddler.

Recently though I’ve began to accept there are so many things we can be doing for our kids at the emotional and energetic level that require no verbal communication whatsoever.

Finding a good energy worker I believe is one of these foundational things. For us, we only work with those that are Christian faith-based. We believe God absolutely gave us the power to heal others (The Bible is pretty clear about this), but you can also come across a lot of weird new-age stuff that we personally wouldn’t feel good about participating in if you’re not careful.

Energy medicine devices are a topic for another article and interview, but these are also ways we can address energetic issues without needing to speak with our child.

Lastly, we do need to address these issues in ourselves in order for our children to truly heal. As Megan puts it, her daughter is a walking mirror saying “deal with your crap Mom.” I couldn’t agree more.

We all have our own energies, but energy is also contagious. I also suspect, and Megan confirmed this in the interview, that we also have a certain shared energy throughout our families.

Even if you put on a smile around your kid, if you’re emotionally and energetically in a bad place you’re bringing the collective energy level down.

Once you gain control of your own emotions and energy, you can also start to learn some energetic healing practices to apply to your child yourself.

This is why we are very excited to take Megan Buer’s Rooted in Health 21 Day Total Transformation Program ourselves! We will be documenting the process along the way and posting the videos to the The Stern Method YouTube Channel and eventually summarizing our experience here on the website when all is said and done.

We hope you join us!
