Prepping your Gut to Fight Cancer with Fasting and Probiotic Rotation
If you’re JUST using probiotics for gut health you are LITERALLY throwing money at a problem that will never be solved!!
Embracing an INTERMITTENT FASTING lifestyle will starve down the bad bacteria and give you the best chance of then reinoculating the good.
We use Dr. Daniel Pompa’s 5-1-1 rule. 5 days of intermittent fasting (eating within a roughly 6 hour window), one day of a 24 hour fast (dinner to dinner), and one “feast” day where we eat all day and throw in more carbs than we usually would to boot!
Don’t forget longer periodic fasts – I haven’t eaten for three days and feel great… for the most part 😉 There’s a VERY good reason it’s right there in The Bible!!!
With probiotics and fermented foods, ROTATION is key! If you’re going for maximum diversity in the gut then it doesn’t make any sense to take the same probiotic or eat the same fermented food all the time.
And I forgot to mention this in the video but if you’re going through chemotherapy, your oncologist might be telling you not to take probiotics but be sure to consult with a naturopathic oncologist as well who reads the studies on probiotics during chemotherapy massively increasing OVERALL SURVIVAL!!!
